Characteristics of Non-Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer (NMIBC) in Patients Treated in an Indonesian Tertiary Hospital from 2008 to 2019

Bladder cancer is the 10th most common in both males and females with a ratio of 3:1. About 75% bladder cancers are non-muscle invasive (NMIBC). The aim this study was to identify characteristics Non-Muscle Invasive Cancer (NMIBC) patients treated Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital as one tertiary hospitals Indonesia. This retrospective descriptive that involved reviewing medical records diagnosed NMIBC between January 2008 December 2019. Characteristics reviewed were age, gender, body mass index (BMI), smoking history, urinary tract infection stone intravesical chemotherapy its side effects, cytology results. All data tabulated charted. Fifty-one out 773 (6.59%). mean age 62.94 years old, majority 60-69 group (31.37%). Males constituted (n=44, 86.27%), had ideal BMI (66.66%), history (72.54%), (56,86%), urolithiasis (5.88%). Thirty given (58.82%), three experienced hematuria (10%), four painful urination (13.33%). Urinary showed atypical cells (92.16%) patients. incidence our 6.59%, which differs from developed countries 75%, shown previous literature.
